Summary[]

The Nature's Wrath Spellbook is one of the many weapons that can be acquired from The Nightmare, a recently introduced 'domain' of the Ratboy's Nightmare Update. It can be acquired after growing all 8 available plants of the Gardening feature in the Frontier, which can only be accessed after entering the Maze of the Root through The Plant Room and The Old Cave, and successfully navigating all the way through to the end, where the spellbook awaits on a pedestal.

Another way to obtain the Nature's Wrath Spellbook is purchasing it from Rising Waters, a vendor that can be found in The Hidden Library's red door room.

Appearance/Usages[]

In appearance, the Nature's Wrath Spellbook appears to be made out of stone, with roots, vines, and mosses attaching itself to the book. In the center, a symbol depicts a tree in a dark green background. Around the symbol are outlines of varying green hues, indicating the color of life and nature. When held, the user's hands glow with a green mass, accompanied by swirls.

The Nature's Wrath Spellbook's projectile consumes 2 stamina points, dealing 100 damage and receiving 95% of the user's magic damage bonuses. The spellbook can fire 10 shots in 8 seconds, giving it a fire-rate of roughly 75 shots per minute.

A unique property of Nature's Wrath Spellbook is, if a projectile comes into contact with the ground, then that part of the ground will begin to emit green smoke, which then will sprout one of three different possible plants. If an enemy comes in contact with the plant within the 3 seconds it appears, the plant will deal 50 damage and along with 33% of the user's magic damage bonuses. Any enemy and other players, besides the user, who touch the plant will be held in place for a brief moment, making it a useful tool for slowing down enemies.

Special Ability[]

The special ability for Nature's Wrath Spellbook is titled Solar Beam, which, upon activation, causes the user to stretch their hands, charging up, as if a flower were blossoming, while plants and a green glare revolve around the user. Once the user releases the charge, a massive, bright green, beam of light is unleashed in front of the user.

Solar Beam consumes 4 stamina points, launching a beam in the direction of the user's cursor at a moderate range. If the user is at full health, the base damage of Solar Beam is 260 and receives 100% of the user's magic bonus. If the user is below their max health, the beam will take longer to charge, but will restore 75 points of the user's health up to 4 times, halting once this limit is reached, or if the user's health is full. Each time the user's health is replenished, the attack receives 100 more base damage, along with 37.5% more of the user's magic bonus, adding up to 660 base damage and 250% bonus intake, healing a total of 300 health if all charges are achieved. This property is primarily helpful for non-magic users, since the healing quality remains constant for any magic damage bonus. Charging up and healing takes around 2-4 seconds and heavily slows down the user. The special ability has a cooldown of 26 seconds before it can be used again.

Trivia[]

  • It has similar mechanics to the Darktoad Spellbook, except its healing effect occurs when the special ability is being used by the player.
  • Unequipping the Nature's Wrath Spellbook while performing its special ability causes a bug that leaves the player stuck at the special's walkspeed and unable to perform the special again unless the spellbook is re-equipped.
  • During the Balance Update [v1.31], the Nature's Wrath Spellbook's basic attack bonus was increased from 70% to 95%, and its special attack bonus was increased from 100% to 130%.
  • The Nature's Wrath Spellbook appearance pairs very well with the Earth King Regalia Set.
