The Gunfists are one of the many weapons that can be acquired in The Nightmare. It can be purchased at a price of 8,000,000 gold from MANAGER SUPREME.
Appearance/Usages[]
In appearance, the Gunfists are a pair of gun-fists consisting of gatling guns with ammunition and shotguns strapped together. It uses Bullets as its main ammunition.
When Gunfists are used in the basic mode – the Shotgun Mode – each shot consumes 2.9 stamina points and deals 420 damage, receiving 100% of the user's ranged damage bonus. The Gunfists alternatively thrust forward in quick succession, before slowly repeating the animation. In perfect conditions, the user can fire 2 shots every 1.65 seconds, each cycle, firing 6 shots in 5 seconds. These blasts will only hit targets a fair distance directly in front of the player, which is wide enough to hit multiple targets. However, the shots cannot be aimed up or down.
Special Ability[]
The special ability of the Gunfists is titled Gatling Mode, which, upon activation, will bring the player's arms up then back down, and change the weapon into Gatling Mode. While the weapons are in Gatling Mode, the gatling guns begin to rotate, making a constant whirring sound.
During Gatling Mode, firing a shot consumes 1.8 stamina points and deals 210 damage, while receiving 100% of the user's ranged bonus. In this mode, shots are fired at a faster rate, dealing half the damage and using up ammo far faster, in exchange for being able to hit single targets at long range. In perfect conditions, Gatling Mode fires a shot roughly every 0.4 seconds, firing around 12 bullets in 5 seconds. Re-equipping the weapon or waiting for the ability's 3-second cooldown and activating it will result in the weapon returning to Shotgun mode.
Trivia[]
- Holding down the left mouse button will not result in Gatling Mode firing automatically, and one is unable to zoom using the right mouse button.
- The Gunfists are easily comparable to the Frontier Stargun, which does more damage than Gatling Mode, though the Gunfists make up for it with a much more powerful and efficient AOE short-range attack.
- In pristine conditions, and with a proper connection, the Gunfists can fire roughly at the same speed as the Frontier Stargun while in Gatling Mode.
- Gunfists are an excellent candidate for usage in the Otherworld Tower, due to their impressive versatility.
- The Shotgun Mode bears more than a passing resemblance to the Ballistic Fist from Fallout: New Vegas.
