Summary
The Greater Storms Spellbook is one of the many weapons that can be acquired in the Frontier. It can be purchased from the Otherworldly Weaponsmith in The Town of Right and Wrong at a price of 3,400,000 gold.
Appearance/Usages
In appearance, the Greater Storms Spellbook is a brown leather tome containing the powers of the Greater Storms that are used to cast lightning spells. The artwork found at the center of the tome depicts a tempest (eye) surrounded by crackling lightning and clouds of thunder. When held, the user's hands are infused with electricity.
Unlike other spellbooks, the Greater Storms Spellbook's attack produces an electric current in front of the caster's hands; the attack is narrow and is short-ranged. However, the attack does not slow down the user, allowing users to be very mobile. The electric current consumes roughly 1.5 stamina points, each dealing 100 damage and receiving 87.5% of the user's magic bonus. In perfect conditions, the Greater Storms spellbook can fire 8 electric currents in 5 seconds, which is 96 electric currents per minute with enough endurance.
Special Ability
The special ability of the Greater Storms Spellbook is titled Smite, which, upon activation, causes the user to lift their right hand towards the sky as it bursts with electricity. Once the electricity dissipates, the user forces a lightning bolt out of the sky. This lightning bolt strikes wherever the user's cursor is upon, which then causes an expanding light blue disc to appear at the land site.
Smite consumes 4 stamina points. For 2 seconds, the user cannot move until the lightning bolt strikes. The strike deals 700 damage and receives 300% of the user's magic bonus. This attack can be targeted wherever the user's cursor is, regardless of distance. However, if the user cursor is inside the fog, then the cast is canceled, and the cooldown isn't activated. The special ability's cooldown lasts for 22 seconds (beginning after the lightning bolt strikes) before it can be used again.

- Before the 0.914 Update, the item's original price was 3,200,000 gold before it was changed to 3,400,000 on July 26, 2017.
- It is possible for players to kill themselves with Smite in Frigid Waste (PvP) and/or other PvP zones.
- During the Balance Update [v1.31], the Greater Storms Spellbook's basic attack bonus was increased from 80% to 87.5%, and its special attack bonus was increased from 250% to 300%.
- This item is able to create a hitbox infront of the player, which, when paired with the Gnome Rocket Launcher can boost off of that hitbox resulting in easily achieved bursts of high speed.
