Summary
Buttons are used for opening doors in The Nightmare. They can be found at multiple locations within the realm.
The below sections will guide you (the player) through finding the various buttons and their doors throughout The Nightmare. This guide is sorted to help you discover most of the buttons as a continuation from the previous button, and lists various requirements and considerations of each button and door location as deemed necessary.
Please note that only the notes for the button or door you're currently looking for are in effect when the link text before an image gallery refers to a different button or door's location steps.

Orange
Button Location (Orange)
1. Enter the orange door in the Deli.
2. Interact with the Bookcase in this small room. This reveals a hidden room.
3. Enter the hidden bedroom.
4. The Orange Button is on the wall next to the bed, above the table.
Door Location (Orange)
1. The Orange Door is located just outside the start room to the left, opposite to the Deli.
2. Inside of the Orange Door lies The Hidden Library, which has the Itempedia of the Nightmare.
Pink
Button Location (Pink)
1. Enter the small library room within the Deli and further to the room with the Gargoyle.
2. Go through the door from the staircase, leading to the start of The Mansion, a room with many doors.
3. The Pink Button is hiding behind one of support beams farthest from the entrance to this room.
Door Location (Pink)
1. Enter the small library room within the Deli.
2. Go through the door from the staircase, leading to The Mansion.
3. The Pink Door is located on the 2nd floor of this room.
4. Inside of the Pink Door is a small room with 2 chairs. This location is nearby the Red Button and the room that the Purple Door leads to.

Follow through step 1 to 5 to get to the Yellow Door.
1. Go past the Yellow Door in the hallway.
2. In the room at the end of the hallway, enter the red door to The Fish Hall.
3. Take a left turn in The Fish Hall. You will take continuous damage of 100 health every 1-2 seconds while in this area, which can be reduced with armor.
4. Follow the path, keeping to the left side. You will eventually find a wooden door without chains.
5. Enter through the wooden door without chains.
6. Enter The Library of Riddles.
7. Navigate towards the staircase in the back of the image.
8. Go to the set of boxes to the left of the metal gate (the 2nd entrance to The Library of Riddles, which can only be opened from inside the library).
9. The Purple Button is located on the left side of the lowest of the boxes.
Door Location (Purple)
1. Enter the shown door at the end of the Entrance Hall.
2. The Purple Door is in the room with the door to the MYSTERY STORE.
3. The Purple Door leads to an area of The Old Mansion, near the Red Button, and just opposite to the room that the Pink Door leads to.

Follow through step 1 to 6 to get to The Library of Riddles.
1. Enter the spiral staircase room through either of the 2 entrances.
2. Climb up the spiral staircase.
3. Answer the first riddle at the riddle door to enter to the Inside. You must specify the number of mushrooms/birds/flowers/daggers found in boxes within the library to pass the first riddle.
4. You will arrive at the Inside area once you have answered the first riddle. Go through the metal gate.
5. The Blue Button is located on top of the fireplace, which is in the same room as the Green Door.

Follow through step 1 to 6 to get to The Grand Hall.
1. Enter through the iron-chained door to The Theatre.
2. Get behind the red curtains on the stage at either side, and head to the large black room behind. Beware of The Cricket and other mobs in this area.
3. Navigate to the far back behind the stage on the right side.
4. Find the gradient of fading green blocks and green light on the far back wall, near the door leading to The Back Area.
5. The Green Button is located behind the most vibrant-colored green block on the gradient lineup.

Follow through step 1 to 4 to get to the Inside area or use the Blue Door shortcut.
The Green Door is located just next to the metal gate in the Inside, near the Blue Button. Players can use the Blue Door as a shortcut to get to the Green Door.
Inside of the Green Door lies The Plant Room, which houses 8 soil crates. Harvesting one of every seed in your gardening plots in The Frontier will unlock the door inside of The Plant Room.
Cyan

Follow through step 1 to 3 to get to the entrance of The Back Area.
1. Enter the door leading to The Back Area.
2. Enter through the door out of the office.
3. Locate the office marked with "I" above the door, leading to an office with a red monitor inside.
4. Take the first right. The Cyan Button is found on the side of one of the cabinets in the room over to your right.

1. Enter the door leading to The Back Area.
2. Enter through the door out of the office.
3. Enter the door at either end of the hallway.
4. Walk down the stairs to get to The Supermarket.
5. Navigate to the center of The Supermarket, behind the first wall of shelves.
6. The Cyan Door is found at the back side of a block near some furniture.
7. The Cyan Door leads to one of the side rooms in The Mansion, with frogs playing poker. You can find a total of 56 Rat Tokens inside of this room (53 Rat Tokens on the table and 3 Rat Tokens at the other areas of the room).
Yellow

1. Enter through the Orange Door, which is located in front of the Deli.
2. Inside are two doors, which opens depending on your progress in the Itempedia of the Nightmare. Enter the first (red) door in The Hidden Library.
3. Walk up to the desk near the vendor, Rising Waters.
4. The Yellow Button is at the back of this desk.

3. Go up the 2nd floor, and go through the green door near the entrance to the room.
4. Beware of Spikers and other mobs in this room.

6. The Yellow Door is at the turn far back in the hallway.
7. Inside of the Yellow Door lies the Meeting Place.

You can skip to step 10 by using the Purple Door or Pink Door shortcuts.
1. Enter the small library room within The Deli.
2. Go through the door from the staircase, leading to The Mansion.
3. Enter the green door on the 1st floor to the left side of the room.
4. Inside this small room with a fireplace, enter the door.
5. Walk down the hallway. Beware of Spikers usually hiding here.
6. Enter the chained door leading to The Grand Hall.
7. Locate the unchained wooden door near the end of the hall with an iron chained door (basically to the right of the door leading to The Theatre) leading to a part of The Old Mansion, as shown in the image. Pay attention to the NPC and other hints for the location.
8. Navigate to the back of the room, behind the crates.
9. Enter the green door.
10. Enter the door on the red wall. The Purple Door and Pink Door leads to the rooms on each side, as shown in the image.
11. In the left corner of the large red room near the entrance is a single abnormal red light.
12. By the red light, you will find the Red Button among some pebble on the wall. You need jump-increasing equipment or otherwise be able to reach high places to reach the Red Button from here.

Follow through step 1 to 7 to get inside the Yellow Door.
1. Enter the glass-covered 'stone' door at the end of The Meeting Place.
2. Interact with the Hidden Device on the floor to be teleported to the next section.
3. Interact with the Hidden Device near the ceiling to be teleported to the next section.
4. Interact with the Hidden Device on the side of some of the blocks on the floor, near the red light.
5. Enter the door at the red wall.
6. The Red Door is found just below the door when you enter into the 'Changing Machine' room. If this is your first time in the 'Changing Machine' room, you will find a Changing Machine collectible here.
7. Inside of the Red Door is a living room with a fast spawn rate for Crimson Ogres and other mobs, like Boomers and Corrupted Gold Knights.
