Summary
The Pipe Rifle is one of the many weapons that can be acquired in the Frontier. It is occasionally seen sold by Gunner Gary in Topple Town at a price of 450,000 gold. Other viable methods of acquiring the Pipe Rifle include but are not limited to:
- The completion of the entire quest chain of the Arnold Slime Quest.
- A possible reward from the Firefly Quest.
- A possible reward from Treasure Chests.
- A possible reward from the Otherworld Tower.
In appearance, the Pipe Rifle is a rifle made out of iron pipes and scrap metal designed to be a single-shot rifle that combatants could use. Its primary ammunition is Bullets and only Bullets.
The weapon has no special abilities whatsoever and to make up for its lack of special ability, the players can use the scope mechanic to aim at creatures from afar.
Evaluation
The Pipe Rifle is a fantastic entry-level rifle. It can be obtained for free and is relatively strong, offsetting the potential risk of buying bullets.
The left click fires a single shot that deals decent damage to early game mobs. This is as standard as rifles get in Fantastic Frontier, so be sure you get used to this weapon if you're going to become a ranger.
All players looking to become rangers are highly advised to obtain this weapon. The next strongest firearms are all single shot rifles so be sure to master the use of the Pipe Rifle if you are looking to become a ranger.
Trivia
- It is one of the few ranged weapons that can be acquired from a quest as of the 1.10 (Fishing) Update.
- If the player completes the Arnold Slime Quest, they will be rewarded with this weapon, as well as 35 bullets serving as ammunition for the players.
- The community often advises beginner ranged users to acquire the Pipe Rifle from the questline as it is 'free' and 'easy to use'.
