Pickaxes are tools used by players specifically designed to mine ores, as well as gemstones. All currently known pickaxes are ore-based, following the same 'tier' or 'strength' like the ore-based armor set: Bronze, Iron, Cobalt, Titanium, Gold, and Onyx. However, gems cannot be crafted into pickaxes and other tools as of the 1.10 (Fishing) Update.
For high-tiered pickaxes like the Onyx Pickaxe and the Gold Pickaxe, it allows the players to quickly swing their pickaxes a few times to quickly mine out ores, as well as gems, increasing the speed rate of mining minerals.
All currently known pickaxes are sold by a vendor known as Benny Oreman, located in Topple Town. If a player has questions about anything relating to mining ores, they may interact with the Mining Shop Assistant who is there to assist Benny Oreman.
