The Frontier Spellbook is just one of the many magic spellbooks a player can purchase and use. It's sold by the Strangeman at a price of 15,000,000 gold, which makes it the most expensive spellbook as of the Otherworld Update.
Similar to most spellbooks, the Frontier Spellbook uses a single projectile attack. What makes this unique from the others is that the Frontier Spellbook is that it was compiled alongside the Frontier itself, as implied by its description, as well as having a special ability that boosts the player's fire rate, as well as other affecting other statistics applied to the spellbook. Its projectiles are a mixture of the main colors of red, yellow, and blue, all of which are the main colors that signify the Frontier as its main theme.
The base damage of the projectile is 130, and the magic bonus received is 75%. Whilst casting, the player's walk speed multiplier is 65%.
Eternal Form - its special ability - buffs the player's projectile attack at base from 130 to 195, And changes the magic bonus from 75% to 110%. While in use projectiles become larger and gain an AOE effect. This ability lasts for 7 seconds and has a cooldown of 20 seconds. When casting with the special active, the player's walk speed will increase to sprinting speed. Additionally, this ability raises fire rate.
When equipped, the player gains a faint, white light, and the player's hands become surrounded by red, yellow, and blue light with particles following the same color scheme. As you cast the magic, the projectile will quickly shoot from your hands leaving a golden sparkly trail behind it as it whizzes through the sky.
Speculations & Theories
The description states that the spellbook was created alongside the Frontier. Some theorize that the Strangeman was the only being that was capable of possessing an object as powerful as this. Others state that the Strangeman hid the spellbook from the Frontier. None of this is canon, though, as the complete origins of the Frontier spellbook lie in mystery. The creator probably did not come up with the idea of the Frontier Spellbook until he started planning the Otherworld update.
Trivia
- The Frontier Spellbook is highly considered to not be worth the amount of gold spent on it, as such it is recommended to get lucky by getting it from the Otherworld Tower or doing the Firefly Quest.
- Even in Eternal Form, the Frontier Spellbook has less DPS than the Frontier Stargun, but what it lacks in DPS, it makes up for cost efficiency.
