Summary[]

The Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger is one of the many weapons that can be obtained on the island of Matumada. Unlike its counterparts, the Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger cannot be obtained from the Construct, and must instead be given as a reward from Giant Toad's Tasks. Similar to the Silver Crystal Ultradagger, the dagger receives half of the damage bonuses from magic and melee. There are no alternative methods of acquiring the Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger outside of its main source.

Appearance/Usages[]

The Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger is a dagger made with a grey handle, with 2 separate appendages sticking out of either side. One of the appendages has a pink cube hanging from it. The dagger has 2 blades instead of the typical 1, both colored with an intimidating red hue.

When equipped, the Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger will consume 1.55 stamina points per swing. The delay between the swings lasts approximately 1 second or less, making it known for its swiftness, as shared with other daggers in-game.

Special Ability[]

The special ability of the Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger is titled Eyeball of Reckoning, which, upon activation, creates a glare on the dagger, causing the player to leap in the air. Once in the air, red particles circle outwards around the dagger. Then, the user forces the dagger down on an opponent. During the whole process, a guitar riff plays.

Upon successfully colliding with an enemy, the dagger will deal 675 damage while a red eye symbol will be placed over the enemy for 30 seconds. While the eye is active, the enemy will have their armor reduced by a flat amount of 13 points, resulting in an 8.775% decrease in their damage reduction. This allows other players which are attacking the enemy to deal more damage. The cooldown of the special ability lasts for 18 seconds before it can be used again.

Contrary to a common mathematical misconception involving percentages, a unique attack's damage output will increase by the same amount regardless of the enemy's defense. Using an attack that deals 200 damage as an example, along with two cases of a 100-defense and 50-defense enemy:

Where DEF is the enemy's defense, and DR is the enemy's damage reduction (DEF * 0.675%).
DEF DR Raw DMG dealt DMG dealt after DR Flat DMG Increase % DMG Increase
w/o EoR 100 67.5% 200 65 17.55 27%
w/ EoR 87 58.725% 82.55
w/o EoR 50 33.75% 132.5 17.55 13.245%
w/ EoR 37 24.975% 150.05

To calculate the new damage of an attack done to an enemy under the effects of the Eyeball of Reckoning ability, disregarding their defense, use the following equation:

If the special attack is used more than once on a single enemy that already was given the debuff within the 30-second duration, the armor reduction will neither stack nor reset/extend the time the ability is applied. The player will have to wait the full 30 seconds until the debuff wears off and can be applied again. The special ability has no effect on a player's defense when used in PvP.

Trivia[]

  • It was introduced in the Spring Update.
  • It is the counterpart of the Silver Crystal Ultradagger and the Void Spike Ultradagger.
  • The Eyeball of Reckoning Ultradagger is the first weapon in the game to reduce an opponent's armor.
  • The special attack "Eyeball of Reckoning" uses the same animation as Zodsword's Blessed Dive.
  • Due to the hitbox displacement caused by the animation of Ultradaggers, they can be used to clip through walls. This is most commonly used to farm Path Gamblers in the Meeting Place and for out of bounds traversal.
