The Extinction Bank is currently known as a miscellaneous item that can be acquired from various sources and may be given as rewards by other means, like the Otherworld Tower.
It is often confused to be a monster drop and is thought to be a monster drop way before its release in the Otherworld Update since it is currently not listed on the Itempedia as of the 1.10 (Fishing) Update.
Considered to be an exceedingly rare drop from the creatures that roam in the Frontier, they are typically dropped by mobs that tend to be dangerous or are simply rare to find.
It can be sold at a selling price of 5,000,000 gold after the players had interacted with Big Box or Little Chelli. It does not have any usages that would benefit the player, other than for profit.
A speculation includes that the Extinction Bank could have some sorts of connections with Red Ratboy, an NPC that can be found on the leaves of a pine tree in the Ancient Forest, upside-down. Red Ratboy could have been the 'teller' in the Extinction Bank's description, and hence why the Red Ratboy appears to had leaped into the air and ended up staying in the particular spot players can now see.
