Summary
The Crypt Blade is one of the many weapons that can be acquired in the Frontier. The Crypt Blade can be purchased from Linkman the Junkman at a price of 5,500,000 gold or from Vhitmire at a price of 6,000,000 gold. Other viable methods of acquiring the Crypt Blade include the following:
- A possible reward from the Firefly Quest.
- A possible reward from a Grand Treasure Chest.
- A possible gift from the Otherworld Present.
- A possible reward from the Otherworld Tower.
The Crypt Blade is described to be a blade that resembles similar to that of a scimitar. It has a purple gem at its hilt, possibly retaining the power the blade once held. The blade's color is dark purple, with lighter tints and shades seen on specific parts of the blade.
When equipped, the Crypt Blade's normal attack consumes 4 stamina points per swing. Its swings follow a clunky motion, similar to the swings of an Angel Greatsword or a Demon Greatsword.
The special ability of the Crypt Blade is titled 'Critical Rush', which, upon activation, will release a stronger forced swing towards the opponents in front of them, depending on how much melee damage bonuses the player has. The cooldown of the special ability lasts for 10 seconds before it can be used again, making it quite easy for players to activate the special ability to eliminate waves of opponents.
Evaluation
The Crpyt Blade has high DPS and the special is more suitable for close proximity.
The basic attack is nothing special, it is just like most other greatswords. The special ability has super high damage and has very low cooldown so it can be used frequently. The special ability is very useful to assist in dodging attacks. Consider adding this to your arsenal as it can provide great burst damage.
Trivia
- During the Balance Update [v1.31], the Crypt Blade's base damage was increased from 400 to 500 points.
