Black Bears are hefty enemies compared to most in the areas they inhabit, boasting a challenge for newer players. Their attacks are pretty strong as well, as they attack quickly and do heavy damage.

The Deep Forest
Black Bears are best dealt with caution for early players, meaning careful dodging is essential. This is easiest done by attacking the sides or back of the bear, as its attacks all hit in front of it. Ranged weapons or attacks are also a viable option.

Summary

The Black Bear is described to be a hostile beast that takes on the appearance of a black bear, typically the ones that are found in forested environments such as The Deep Forest and Greenhorn Grove. It also makes an appearance on the 6th floor of the Otherworld Tower, We Three Bears, serving as main obstacles as the player progresses through the dungeon.

Attacks

There are two attacks the Black Bear can perform:

  • Charge - Charges towards the player's current position in order to run them over.
  • Swipe - Swipes at the players with its claws.

  • After the introduction of the Otherworld Update, it can be seen in the Otherworld Tower dungeon.
  • The Black Bear is obviously based on the black bear in real-life, typically found in forested areas of the Earth.
