(WARNING: I made this at 2am in the morning, this means grammar will be off, words that don't need to be in the sentence will, punctuation is going to be terrible, and much, much more grammatical mistakes.)
In this new update (that I couldn't create a name for) their would be additions to fishing. More specifically, a new stat, a new fishing rod, and new armor. [Also maybe a new mob].
Let's start with the new Stat first. This stat would be "Lure" The new "Lure" stat would increase the chance of getting chests, and increase the chance of getting more rare fish. This new Stat might be added to specific armor, and fishing rods. If you use the specific armor or fishing rods, the stat would kick in, and would increase the chance of getting chests and rarer fish.
Now, let's talk about the armor. This armor would of course, have the "Lure" stat. Wearing this armor would make the effects of the "Lure" stat kick in. I don't know what this new armor's name would be, or how it would look. The only way I think of this stat being added to armor is if it was added to the Aquatic Explorer.
Now, the fishing rod. This fishing rod would of course have the "Lure" stat. While using this Fishing rod the stat would come into effect. And that is about it for the fishing rod paragraph, I don't know what else to add.
Now on to the new mob. This new mob would appear from the water source after you have been fishing for 7-10 consecutive minutes. (This mob would only appear if you have to something with the "Lure" effect on) The mob would be lured to the surface from your "Lure" stat. After appearing from the water it would begin to attack (maybe doing like 25 damage). I don't know what this mob would look like. I'd think it should be modeled after a fish in real life, maybe like an Anglerfish.
Anyway, that is it for my stupid idea.
